The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 “Pur Sang” Edition
Visitors to the Atelier in Molsheim are always intrigued to see the Bugatti Veyron’s high-tech components being meticulously assembled into an automotive work of art. Watching the car coming together, coupled with an admiration for the technical beauty of its structure, gave the designers the idea of finishing the car in its pure material configuration – meaning no color coating. The result is the EB 16.4. Veyron “Pur Sang”, a two-tone study of pure materialness showing the car’s true essentials: carbon and aluminum.
The carbon monocoque holds the engine plus the passenger cell, while the polished aluminum panelling is enhanced by reflections in the sculpted bodywork. Interestingly, the rawness of the materials even more strongly highlights the dual character of this car: performance power coupled with cruising comfort, structure and body, dark and light.

Chevrolet officially announced the 2009 Corvette ZR1 – an American supercar that brings the technology and engineering refinement of carbon-fiber, ceramics and electronics together in a distinctive design.
“Chevrolet’s goal with the new ZR1 is to show what an American supercar can deliver, at a price that trumps exotics that cost two, three or four times as much – and does so with exceptional driveability,” said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager.

Aston Martin V12 Vanquish
The Aston Martin V12 Vanquish was designed by Ian Callum. When you think of GT vehicles, the V12 Vanquish is considered quintessential. The V12 Flagship model was introduced to the general public in 2001. 2007 was the last year for production of the car. Throughout all that time the V12 Vanquish served as the flagship vehicle for Aston Martin. The car became a part of pop culture when it was featured in the twentieth James Bond film, “Die Another Day.”
In 2004, Aston Martin unveiled the Vanquish S model at the Paris Auto Show. Newly designed rims, an upgraded body styling, and more power outfitted the upgraded V12 model. In 2005 Aston Martin not only put the V12 S on sale, but they made the Sports Dynamic Pack a standard part of the car. The Sports Dynamic Pack gives the V12 (S) sportier suspension, better steering, and braking power. During 2005 the V12 S and the base V12 were sold alongside one another. In 2006 Aston Martin only sold the V12 S in the United States. By 2007 Aston Martin only sold the V12 S in Europe.

Ironically the last of the Aston Martin’s V12 production run was celebrated with the creation of the Vanquish Ultimate Edition. Aston Martin decided that the last 40 cars produced the V12 format would have a new Ultimate Black exterior color. The cars would also have upgraded interior as well. The UEV, comes with a standard manual transmission. Previous owners of the V12 applaud this upgrade considering the sloppy shifting mannerisms of the floppy paddle gear box found in the standard V12 Vanquish

Designer Ciprian Cooks up Ford Cobra 'Snakehead' Concept
Wow, what a sleek design! I love the 77' Stingray rear side profile homage....

A new Ford concept has been released courtesy of designer Andrus Ciprian, dubbed the Cobra Snakehead.
The concept draws inspriation from past and current Ford models, so it fits in with the brand’s existing line up. Yet Ciprian adds some strong lines and distinctive features that make this one outstanding car.
The exterior leaves a lasting impression. Its rear end draws parallels with the first GT40′s, and the body also boasts massive wheel arches and other bold styling elements. Ford’s latest Focus model has some influence that can be seen in the front end. On the inside of the concept, two seats are divided by an excessive center console so each person gets the feel of a cockpit of their own.
To power the Cobra Snakehead, the designer suggests that a front mounted V8 would be fitting.
We hope Ford will take this concept into consideration for future models. The exterior design elements can certainly lend themselves to mass appeal, where as the interior concept may only work for some enthusiasts.
