Based on the normally aspirated Cayenne S, the GTS has a 4.8litre V8 Engine developing 405 BHP and is capable of accelerating from 0-62 MPH in approximatley 6.1 seconds.

Th chasis has been tailored for fast road driving ,sitting 24mm lower allround and using PASM contolled steel springs,the GTS is able to corner superbly generating amazing levels of grip and tackles twisty roads at hot hatch speeds.

Visually the GTS is distinguished by its Turbo styled nose and 21" alloy wheels resulting in 14mm wheel arch extensions and the extensive use of alcantara gives the GTS s suitably sporting ambience.

It sounds great too, the engine puts out some impressivley deep chested harmonics, which can be hardened further by swithcing to sports mode.

This particular example is finished in Basalt black Metallic with complementing grey Leather Alcantara interior.

Chennai's top-notch can now drive the super luxury-cum-sports cars from the German luxury car-maker Porsche. It is here with its five models — Boxster S, Cayman S, 911, Panamera and Cayenne. All the models have multi-variants and the company has 37 variants.

If one wants to buy a Porsche car, he has to wait for 500 days because each car is custom-made.

Porsche entered the Indian market in 2003 by setting up its first dealership outlet in New Delhi. Later, it expanded into other markets. It has now entered the Chennai market. It aims to sell 500 cars in India this year. It also plans to introduce hybrid super car within the next few months.

Porsche Middle East and Africa, After-Sales Director, Mohamed Rahman, said the car-maker sold just 130 cars in 2010 in India. However, till February this year, it has got booking for 217 units.

Mr. Rahman, who was here to inaugurate the new Porsche centre in Chennai and the company's fourth in India and the second in the southern region, said Porsche imported the products for the Indian market from Germany.

After unveiling the latest version of Porsche Cayenne SUV (sports utility vehicle) with turbo-equipped diesel engine, Porsche India Director Ashish Chordia said this product was for those who loved to have the Porsche experience.

Cayenne accounted for major portion of Porsche's sales in the country, while the remaining variants contributed about 35 per cent.

The car that was introduced in the Chennai market on Thursday was priced between Rs.59 lakh and Rs.2.50 crore. It was considered as one of the ‘top-of-the-line products' of the Porsche family.

On Porsche's new Panamera hybrid model, Mr. Rahman said it would be introduced in the next few months.

It had been showcased in the Geneva Motor show and would be introduced globally in the next few months. It would be introduced with a three-litre petrol engine option in India.

S. Rajiv Jeyabalan, Managing Director of Porsche Centre Chennai, said the company had planned to have eight centres in India and by the end of the year the company would be opening new retail outlets in Kochi, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Pune.

Audi has updated the Audi Q7, an all-wheel drive permanent total ('quattro') and without reduction of five meters long and up to seven seats, which was launched in the market in spring 2006. It is on sale from € 56,650.

The changes affect the exterior, interior and engines. It is available in five or seven seats with the same engines that the model of 2006, although most are minor modifications to consume less. The range consists of three diesel and two petrol.

The first is a 239 hp V6, a V8 340 hp (326 hp was before) and a V12 500 hp. The petrol V6 is a 280 hp and 350 hp V8. All have direct injection. Consume less fuel than previous versions, except the V12 TDI.

The 3.0 TDI engine from 239 hp is available in two versions, one normal and another, called 'clean diesel, which emits less nitrogen oxides (NOx) and fulfills the Euro 6 antipollution regulations coming into force in 2014.

It spent 9.1 and 8.9 l/100 km respectively, slightly less than previous V6 TDI (9.8 l/100 km). In equal equipment, the version "clean diesel" is € 2,000 more expensive.

Among the all-similar, only the BMW X5 and X6 30d of 235 hp has approved an average consumption lower than the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI "clean diesel". Models such as the Volkswagen Touareg (239 hp), Mercedes-Benz ML (224 hp) or the Porsche Cayenne Diesel (239 hp) consume more.

The Audi Q7 can also take a 4.2 TDI and 6.0 TDI. The 4.2-liter gives 14 hp more than before (340 hp versus 326 hp) 1.2 l/100 km and spends less (9.9 l/100 km versus 11.1 l/100 km). The V12 TDI engine is unchanged: continue with 500 hp and a consumption of 11.3 l/100 km.

Petrol engines (3.6 FSI 280 PS and 4.2 FSI 350 HP) do not vary but the consumption is less approved. The 280 HP spends 12.1 l/100 km and 350 hp 12.7 l/100 km (0.6 l/100 km and 0.9 l/100 km less, respectively).

All versions except the V12 TDI, with an alternator that recharges the main battery during braking and retention phases. According to Audi, this device reduces CO2 emissions up to 5 g / km.
